ParticipantI’ve been going in circles trying to find a reliable plumber and electrician in my area. Every time I think I found someone decent, the reviews are either super mixed or nonexistent. Is there a way to check out a legit list of businesses that are actually local and not just promoted listings or random ads?

ParticipantTotally get the frustration—been there myself. The trick is finding a source that’s actually focused on your area, not just some massive site trying to rank everything. I’ve had the best luck using platforms that are specifically geared toward locals, like this Local Business Directory . It’s clean, easy to browse, and actually lists businesses that serve the local community. You can sort by service, see if they’re verified, and even check updated contact info and user reviews. Way better than just Googling and hoping for the best.

ParticipantJust because a business shows up first in search doesn’t always mean it’s the most reliable—context and local relevance matter a lot more.
